Join Clear Water Kiwanis in honoring our partners in the mission to make a difference in the lives of children in our area! At this lunch meeting, select organizations receiving funds from Clear Water will be honored.  

Clear Water Kiwanis is awarding up to four scholarships to North High School seniors graduating in 2024. The application can be found on the Clear Water Kiwanis website. Materials can be emailed to ClearWaterKiwanisinfo@gmail.com or mailed to PO Box 347, Eau Claire, WI, 54702-0347. Applicants will be notified on May 1, 2024.

This event is hosted by Royal Credit Union, and is a fun way to make a positive impact in the lives of students in our community!

The ultimate goal  of this reality fair is to provide students an opportunity to explore their future career and income possibilities while learning more about potential financial challenges that lie ahead. Students select a career that matches their present plans and research their choices to create their budget. Through managing their monthly income and expenses, participants take away new perspectives on life after high school and college. 

To volunteer, select the station you would like to work. To get familiar with the event and what to expect, a volunteer orientation video and instructions for your station will be emailed prior to the event.

Election of Officers and Board Members

Organization meeting on the Doll & Pet Parade, which will be on Saturday, June 1.

The Chippewa Falls Noon Kiwanis is having a Kiwanis Cash & Purse Bingo Night. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. Bingo starts at 4 PM.

All funds raised support local youth programs.

Getting to know Mary Mihajlov

Girls on the Run will host their celebratory spring 5K on May 11th and will be looking for volunteers to help with registration, hand out water bottles, cheer for the runners, etc. For more information, see https://www.gotrchippewavalley.org/5k. 

The Stamp Out Hunger Event is looking for people to collect food along postal routes. Two people are required per vehicle so one can drive and one can pick up foot items along the route.

We need at least 4 people for the bike trail clean up. We are responsible for just under two miles of the bike trail from the Highway 85 underpass to Maple Road. Clear Water Kiwanis has a plaque on the trail, so we want it to look nice. We will meet at the Hwy 85 rest area. Please bring gloves and wear jeans and socks, as there has been a lot of poison ivy along the edges of the trail in past years.

Dinner will follow the clean-up at the 4-Mile Restaurant & Bar (formerly Smith’s Country Inn) at S5786 Hwy 37. We will be at the restaurant by about 6:00-6:15 p.m.

On June 5 you are invited to join Clearwater Kiwanis for our regular meeting and program, with a presentation titled, “Kiwanis – A Place Where Everyone Belongs”.  Club member Ann Kaiser will be presenting information from Kiwanis International that has recently been shared by Past Governor, Bill Abbott. 

As we think about how to help our Clubs to remain active, grow and serve our communities, it’s also important to think about how we are welcoming new members and creating a sense of belonging in our Clubs.  This presentation will provide food for thought about whether there are ways we can do things differently to remain relevant to those in our community who want to engage in Kiwanis service. 

From 4-8 on Wednesday, June 5, mention "Fore the Kid's" at the Burrachos on Prill Road and they will donate 25% of their sales to the Fore the Kids golf event! 

Bring a chair and come listen to the Thundermen!

The US Open Chainsaw Championship is held at the Wisconsin Logging Museum in Eau Claire, WI. Artists from around the world participate in this fun event. Clear Water Kiwanis volunteers in many capacities for the event. More details to come.
